Airports
KLIA
KLIA(Kuala Lumpur International Airport) is the main international doorway it is approximately 75km south from the city centre in a place called Sepang. It is located close to PutraJaya the administrative capital. KLIA has been ranked as one of the top airports in the world.
It has a High speed rail system linked via KL Sentral and the journey to commute to the airport takes around 30 minutes.
LCCT
Low Cost Carrier Terminal; located approximately 20 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s main terminal. Along with all the necessary airport facilities this no-frills airport caters mainly for Air Asia and many other Low Cost Carries from around the region.
LCCT is just 20 minutes away from KLIA. A convenient bus service operates between KLIA and LCCT. The bus ride cost MYR2.50 for one-way.
The SkyBus(Air Asia) operates between LCCT and KL Sentral and departs every half an hourit cost MYR9 for a one-way ticket. Book online from Air Asia and get discounts on the bus ride. Tickets can be also purchased at the SkyBus booth in the arrival hall.
Getting Around
Taxi

Taxi are normally coloured in yellow or red and white. These are your everyday metered taxis, which are normally Malaysian made Proton Wiras, Iswaras and Sagas, and premier taxis, uses Renault MPVs and are blue in colour.
Buses
Buses are the cheapest form of travelling around the city. There are bus stops located in every convenient locations of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor state. Two main bus operators in Kuala Lumpur are Rapid KL (government controlled) and Metro Bus (privately owned) and both busses are air conditioned busses.
Rapid KL, is the main bus service provider in the city. The tickets could be bought from the driver. Alternatively, you can purchase monthly passes to use Rapid KL buses.
Train
The trains are in particular commuter trains to ferry passengers and KTM Komuter is the provider of this service for the urban dwellers.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM)
The KTM system is a typical railway train that operates on normal railway tracks. Used predominantly to service the large residential areas in the outskirts of the city, KTM has a long history in the development of Malaysia's railway systems. The KTM railways connect from these outskirts areas to major parts of the city. There are two main tracks; one lies from Seremban to Rawang while the other is from Klang Port to Sentul.The main trains systems in the west coast region connects from Singapore right up to Thailand and passes through major cities and beautiful villages in Malaysia.
Monorail
The Monorail route is about 9 km-long and consisting of only two cars each. It serves the bustling routes in the Golden Triangle and provide quick and efficient transport between neighbouring commercial areas. The Monorail uses the same ticketing system as STAR and PUTRA. The Monorail starts from Pekeliling station and ends in Tun Sambanthan station.
Putra LRT
It runs south from terminal putra in Gombak and passes along the Jalan Pekelling bus station, to end on the south-western outskirts of the city at Kampung Pasir. Putra LRT connects with the Star LRT and the Monorail at various stations in the city.
Sistem Aliran Transit Ringan (Putra STAR)
It is an elevated rapid train that starts from Sentul Timur, in northern KL and heads south, via Masjid Jamek and Pudu, then the line splits into two and one continuing south to Kompleks Sukan Negara and the other going east to Ampang.
The train moves across high tracks that are built across land, bypassing major roads.
The train commuters can purchase tickets from machines or counters located within the stations. STAR connects with the Putra LRT and the Monorail at various stations in the city.

To come in to Malaysia, visitors must have a national passport or other internationally recognized travel documents with a validity period of at least six months beyond the length of stay in Malaysia. All passports and travel documents must be endorsed for travelling in Malaysia.
